Stone structures give us an illusion of permanence
But even they slowly decay in spacetime
In the presence of silent and stately trees
To know this and accept feelingly
To be present to mourn the passage of
Each movement in spacetime with dignity
While appreciating it for what it was
And what it has intended to teach us
Is the greatest spiritual gift that
God has bestowed on a human being
Along with the compassionate heart
That the human can break or break open
To let the light in to sharpen all the senses
To extend the arms to love and embrace
Ourselves and our natural environment
With the childlike joy and wonder
Just like when we first met

Wraz ze współczującym sercem, które człowiek jest w stanie łamać lub otwierać
Na światło wyostrzające wszystkie zmysły
Wyciągąjac ramiona, by kochać i przytulać
Nas i nasze środowisko naturalne
Z dziecinną radością i podziwem
Tak jak na pierwszym spotkaniu
